Tragedy struck this morning in Virginia as a gunman fatally shot a TV news reporter and cameraman while a live segment was being filmed. Reporter Alison Parker, 24, and photojournalist Adam Ward, 27, were killed at Bridgewater Plaza, near the Bedford and Franklin County lines.
Ward’s camera was able to capture footage of the gunman, and a picture was tweeted out by NBC News’ Tom Winter.

The gunman also shot a third person, whose condition has not been released. He is still on the loose as police continue to try and catch him.
