Concussions continue to loom large on the Texas Longhorns football program, as top wide receiver Jaxon Shipley, younger brother of Longhorn alum Jordan, has been listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against UCLA.
The Longhorns are already without starting quarterback David Ash and losing Shipley could sink the team’s hopes at rebounding after a 41-7 loss to BYU.
The severity of the injury remains unclear, as Texas has refused to release the specific details surrounding the injury. Shipley did however catch five passes for 37 yards and played deep into the fourth quarter versus BYU.
Fans can only hope Shipley is able to play Saturday, but the team must be cautious with yet another major blow. More information should continue to be released throughout the week, stay tuned.
