Cavaliers fire head coach David Blatt after 30-11 record

Many NBA fans were surprised when the Cleveland Cavaliers hired David Blatt as their head coach ahead of the 2014-15 NBA season. He did a great job of leading the team as they went 53-29, won the Central Division, and advanced to the NBA Finals.

Fans may be surprised with the latest news as it was reported that the Cavaliers have fired Blatt. Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski initially reported the news via Twitter.

The Cavaliers were looking like one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season with a 30-11 record. The team is currently the top team in the conference as well.

Wojnarowski also confirmed that the Cavs had promoted Ty Lue to head coach and signed him to a multi-year deal as their permanent head coach.
