Former Gamecock quarterback Stephen Garcia has signed on to work for Saturday Down South, a website that provides SEC Football analysis.
Garcia had an up and down career at South Carolina. The former starting quarterback was dismissed from the team after breaking several team rules, as well as laws, during his time in Columbia. He will best be remembered for his career day against then #1 Alabama at Williams Brice Stadium in 2010. Garcia was 17-20 for 201 yards 3 touchdowns. Unfortunately, that was his best moment as a Gamecock, and maybe in his football career.
He went undrafted in the NFL and floated around the Canadian Football League, as well as the Arena Football League.
His role with SDS is still unclear, but he will start later in the summer.
