Cedar Grove High School (Ellenwood, Georgia) defensive tackle Quentez Johnson took to Twitter to announce he would be joining NC State’s 2015 class.
Johnson (6’2, 330) was once committed to the University of Miami but that pledge did not last long.
Although only rated a 3-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Johnson boasts an impressive offer list that includes Florida State, LSU, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Oregon, USC, Tennessee, to name a few.
He compiled 65 tackles and 3 sacks and is looking to improve his stats this upcoming year.
Johnson chose the Wolfpack over Tennessee and Oregon. He becomes the seventh prospect to verbally commit to head coach Dave Doeren and the second prospect out of Georgia to join the Wolfpack, including Alpharetta quarterback (Alpharetta, Georgia) Austin King.
