Curt Britt Transfers from South Carolina

Pitcher Curt Britt has decided to transfer from the University of South Carolina baseball team.

Britt is from Laurinburg, North Carolina, and has decided to continue his career at North Carolina State University.

He made the announcement on Twitter early Wednesday morning.

The transfer comes after the death of his father, Tommy, in late May. His passing has prompted Britt’s desire to be closer to his family, completely understandable.

In two seasons with the Gamecocks, Britt posted a perfect 5-0 record with one save and a 3.61 ERA over 42 1/3 innings.

Due to earning a hardship waiver by the NCAA after the death of his father, Britt will not have to sit out a year and will be eligible immediately at N.C. State.
