Just days ago, defensive end Josh Sweat was named the new No. 1 recruit for the Class of 2015 by 247Sports.com. Sweat recently showed out at the SPARQ event at the Opening in Beaverton, Oregon. Standing at 6’5”, weighing 240 pounds, the weak-side defensive end has gained attention from the biggest, most prominent names in college football.
This summer alone, Sweat has made unofficial visits to the University of Georgia, the University of Tennessee and Ohio State University. He has 57 teams who are interested in his talent, but has received offers from top programs: Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State and Tennessee.
Improving on his 40-time at the SPARQ event, he ran a 4.46, proving that he’s not planning to slow down any time soon. Sweat, who is out of Chespeake, VA and currently playing for Oscar Smith High School has already made quite the highlight reel.
