2016 Wakulla (Crawfordville, Florida) wide receiver Keith Gavin made his dream a reality by verbally committing to the Florida State Seminoles.
Gavin (6’3, 223) has the size and speed that coaches covet in a wide receiver.
Warchant.com caught up with Gavin about his decision to stay in Florida and play for the Seminoles.
“It’s home to me. I’ve always loved the campus, and it’s only a 20-minute drive away for me. I’m so excited to be a Seminole now.”
“I think FSU likes me the most at receiver, but also feel I can play on defense at either safety or linebacker,” Gavin said. “I don’t care, but I do like receiver a lot. I have a great relationship with the entire FSU staff, especially Coach (Randy) Sanders, who is a funny guy and shares some of the same hobbies as me. He loves to fish and be out in the country.”
Gavin missed most of his sophomore season due to a leg injury. He is fully healthy now and is ready to have a bounce-back year.
He chose Florida State over Alabama, Clemson, and Florida.
