Alabama flipped a commitment from another school for the second time this week when defensive back Rico McGraw changed his verbal pledge from Georgia to Alabama.
The news was first reported by Rivals.com, which spoke to McGraw’s mother Leigh Ann Clark. McGraw, a four-star ranked No. 142 nationally in the 247Sports composite, committed to Georgia in January. The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect from Nashville’s Enworth High School had visited Alabama for camp in June.
McGraw becomes Alabama’s 21st verbal commitment of the 2015 class. This is the second safety to switch his commitment to the Tide this week, with the other being Ronnie Harrison of Tallahassee, Florida. Both players are expected to play safety in the Saban defense, but both have potential to play corner as well.
