LSU Defensive Tackle Out For Season

Louisiana State defensive tackle Quentin Thomas will miss the upcoming season due to a torn bicep.

The Baton Rouge Advocate was the first to report the news.

This is a huge blow for the Tigers because defensive line is an area of primary concern heading into the season.

Thomas appeared in 11 games last season and provides a necessary boost in the trenches. He will likely receive a medical redshirt which will give him two years of eligibility remaining upon his return.

LSU lost tackles Ego Ferguson and Anthony Johnson to the NFL and fans expected Thomas to shine in their stead if given the opportunity.

Now head coach Les Miles and defensive coordinator John Chavis will rely on inexperienced but talented players such as Frank Herron and Christian LaCouture.

The Tigers won’t have much time to find answers as they face Wisconsin in Houston on August 30.
