The Arizona Wildcats have revealed who will be taking the snaps at quarterback this upcoming Friday against UNLV.
Meet redshirt freshman Anu Solomon.
Head coach Rich Rodriguez announced the decision during his weekly press conference. He told reporters that Solomon was given the news last night.
According to arizonawildcats.com, Solomon was a four-time all-state selection and compiled a 57-3 record at Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV) in high school. He was widely considered a four-star prospect by the major recruiting sites.
Solomon is tasked with replacing B.J. Denker, and helping the Wildcats compete in a very top heavy Pac-12. Growing pains are to be expected, but there’s no better way to teach the young and inexperienced than to give them experience and Solomon is about to get plenty of it.
