It is a glorious Saturday in Athens and it is time for some Georgia Football! The Dawgs play in one of the grandest stadiums in the country called Sanford Stadium. The football tradition runs deep in Athens and the red and black is worn proudly in the atmosphere.
Sanford Stadium is located on the middle of campus where it is displayed in its entire splendor. It is the epicenter of the University of Georgia campus because football is the heart of the school. There is a great amount of around the stadium that is focused towards a great day of Georgia football. Fans create an experience like no other in Bull Dawg country.
When the UGA football players appear to the campus, this is when things get even more exhilarating. The players get off of us a bus in front of the Tate center and walk through a sea of fans and cheerleaders to enter the stadium. This famous tradition has been rightfully dubbed the “Dawg Walk”. Personally for me, this brings the energy full circle for a home game in Athens. There is nothing more exciting to be surrounded by fellow Dawgs and beautiful females yelling “Glory, Glory to Ole Georgia” at the top of their lungs! To be able to be a part of an experience like this is something that will always heighten a person’s pride in their school. It brings electricity in the air for the Athens atmosphere
There is a few and far between feeling a person can obtain from the famous “Dawg Walk” that the UGA players do. As a true college fan, this is something that everyone should look to experience. There is nothing finer than in the land than a bunch of Georgia fans getting enthusiastic for their Bulldog football team!
