Notre Dame- Ohio State Agree to Home and Home Series

When sports fans think about the evolution and history of  college football, the discussion cannot progress without talking about two teams – Ohio State and Notre Dame. The two programs have been mainstays atop the college football landscape and have agreed to play each other in a home and home series beginning in 2022-23. Ohio State is a member of the Big 10 conference and has captured the national title an outstanding seven times during the school’s history. Likewise, Notre Dame is among the elite programs in football and has ascended to the top of football 11 times, equally impressive in its own right.

On September 3, 2022, the series will begin when Notre Dame visits “The Horseshoe” before playing host to the Buckeyes the following season. The games should prove to be a major talent marker for both teams as they enter the meat of the teams’ schedules.

The two teams have played each other five times with the most recent contest occurring in Ohio State’s 34-20 win over the Fighting Irish in the 2006 Fiesta Bowl.
