A Look at Week Two

Game of the Week

#7  Mich St. @ #3 Oregon Sat. Sept. 6th, 6:30 pm (EST)– Oregon’s elite offense versus Michigan State’s elite defense. The consensus seems to be Oregon will win at home, but not so fast, Michigan State is a physical squad and the type of team Oregon struggles with. We think Michigan State shocks the football world and upsets Oregon at home.

Bounce Back Game

Virginia Tech @ #8 Ohio State Sat. Sept. 6th, 8 pm (EST)– J.T. Barrett completed 80% of his passes last week and threw 2 TDs, as this Freshman gains more confidence and gets more comfortable with this offense these Buckeyes will become more and more dangerous. Beamer’s Hokie squad is significantly outmatched talent wise, look for OSU to bounce back with a big win.

Surprise of the Week

Memphis @ #11 UCLA Sat. Sept. 6th, 10 pm (EST)– Albeit versus an inferior Austin Peay squad, Memphis showed some real signs of growth last week.  UCLA on the other hand looked rather unimpressive in their victory over UVA. Without three (3) second quarter defensive touchdowns there is a strong possibility UVA won that game.  Not calling the upset, but this will be closer than the 20+ point spread would indicate.

The Rest of the games to watch
