Michigan, Texas Schedule Home-and-Home

College football fans will be receiving a treat in 2024 and 2027.

During those two years, the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines will face off against one another, marking a battle between two of the three winningest programs in the country.

The two schools announced the home-and-home series on Wednesday. Texas will be heading to Ann Arbor on August 31, 2024, while Michigan will travel to Austin on September 4, 2027.

“A matchup of this magnitude doesn’t come along all that often, and when it does, it’s special for both programs and the great fans that support each institution,” Michigan coach Brady Hoke said. “This also is a special series for all fans of college football, and I anticipate great games just like the first contest played between the two programs.”

The two last met in the 2005 Rose Bowl, an epic game to say the least. The Longhorns edged out the Wolverines 38-37 after Dusty Mangum kicked a 37 yard field goal as time expired. Texas would go on to win the national championship the following year.
