The Connecticut Huskies men’s basketball team, winners of two of the last three NCAA Championships, will enter the 2014-15 season donning a new, fresh look as the team pays homage to the greats that built the legacy before them during the 1990’s and early 2000’s. The jerseys are almost identical to the throwbacks, and were first seen when Sam Cassell Jr., a new member of the team, released a picture of the new look in an Instagram photo.
The Huskies hope the new uniforms will prevent any championship hangover the team could face after losing several significant players to graduation as well as the NBA. Fans will get their first taste of the new uniforms when Bryant travels to Storrs for the season opener November 14.
