Top shooting guard Jalen Coleman has made his decision to play collegiate basketball at the University of Illinois. The No. 34 ranked player according to the ESPN Top 100, has an exceptional scoring ability and can score in a variety of ways. He also solid size (6 foot 4) and will be an instant impact player for the Fighting Illini. The Indianapolis native chose coach John Groce and the Illinois over Notre Dame, Indiana, Michigan State, N.C. State, and UNLV.
The four star recruit joins small forward D.J. Williams as the top two prospects in the recruiting class and there is another top recruit, Aaron Jordan, in the mix as well.
Groce is hoping a solid recruiting class in 2015 will translate to success on the basketball court as the team is looking to rebound from a 20-15 season and return to the NCAA Tournament.
