The East Carolina Pirates announced the addition of their newest player, Chris Mangus, who left Virginia Tech in August and has officially transferred to the school. Last season, in Blacksburg, Mangus rushed for 141 yards, but he will miss the remainder of the 2014 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Mangus should have a major impact on the Pirates offense for the next two seasons as he wraps up his collegiate career. Back in 2012, Mangus was a three star recruit with upside when he committed to Virginia Tech.
Thus far, the Pirates have had a breakout 2014 season, earning wins over two tough ACC opponents, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. East Carolina stands at 3-1 as they look forward to Saturday’s match up with the SMU Mustangs.
