The University of South Florida football has been looking to bolster their future football schedule, and took strides to do so with the addition of three games against Texas and a home-and-home series with BYU. All the games will be played between 2019 and 2024 and provide the Bulls with a chance to make an impact on a national level.
USF and BYU will compete in 2021-22, but the exact dates and locations remain uncertain. Texas and the Bulls will meet up in Austin during the 2019 and 2024 years with the Longhorns visiting Tampa in 2022.
Texas holds a 4-2 record during games played in Florida and last played UCF in 2007. The game should provide both teams an opportunity a chance to expand their recruiting boundaries and cut into the recruiting dominance of Florida teams in the Sunshine State.
In 2014, the Bulls hold a 2-3 record after losing to Maryland, N.C. State and Wisconsin and earning two victories over East Carolina and Connecticut. Through five games, the team has struggled on both sides of the football and must drastically improve before taking the step up in competition.
