No matter what the time of year is college sports rivalries never rest, and early Thursday morning, the Michigan Wolverines reportedly vandalized their cross-state rivals golden Spartan statue.
The alleged Wolverine fan felt it was necessary to cover the statue with their maize and blue creating quite the ruckus amongst Michigan State Spartans fans.
Today, head football coach Mark Dantonio addressed the hot topic.

With the Wolverines having dropped six of their last seven contests to the Spartans, its no wonder the fan was suffering from some form of frustration and felt the need to take it out on a lifeless statue.
As summer approaches the two sides look forward to their next meeting on the gridiron set to take place on October 17th. In the meanwhile, it shouldn’t surprise anyone if a Michigan State fan finds some way to repay the favor and expect to be far more creative than just the maize and blue.
