Look out, college hoops fans, the LSU Tigers are baring their claws. According to Jerit Roser of NOLA.com, four-star guard Brandon Sampson has de-committed from St. John’s to stay close to home and will suit up for the Tigers next season.
Sampson’s commitment to the Tigers gives them the top recruiting class of the year, per 247sports.com, and it’s hard to argue that LSU doesn’t have just that. On top of Sampson, the team also has five-star guard and McDonald’s All-American Antonio Blakeney coming to Baton Rouge next season as well as No. 1 overall recruit (per ESPN) Ben Simmons.
Keep in mind that this is an LSU team that lost go-to guys Jarell Martin and Jordan Mickey to the draft, and head coach Johnny Jones has already made sure that the team will be ready to compete in the SEC next season.
This recruiting class is special, and fans should be excited to watch the Tigers in 2015.
