SMU Football: QB David Moore commits to Mustangs

Coach Chad Morris has really made the #PonyUpTempo hashtag become a thing. Now, Coach Morris has a QB who could possibly be the future of the program. Quarterback David Moore announced his verbal commitment to SMU on Thursday, and could not be more excited about it.

Moore, who seems to be flying under-the-radar as a recruit at the moment, did not play this past season due to injury, and is eager to get back on the field and show he belongs.

Since Coach Morris got on campus several months ago, several things about the SMU program has changed, and he has made one thing clear: SMU will not be taken lightly any longer.

Morris has shown that with his relentless recruiting work ethic, and it is starting to pay off. Moore is SMU’s 4th commit of the 2016 cycle, and while it is extremely early, SMU could not dream of a better start.

Moore chose SMU over other reported offers from Houston, Utah, Oregon State, Wake Forest, and Temple among several others. Look for SMU to continue to grow it’s recruiting class, especially in the state of Texas.
