Guard Nick Noskowiak commits to Iowa State

Iowa State always seems to find talent and contributors on the transfer market but on Sunday they received a commit from a top 100 player on the recruiting trail, Nick Noskowiak.

Noskowiak is a 4-star 2015 point guard out of Sun Prairie High School, who committed to Marquette twice (once under Buzz Williams and once under Steve Wojciechowski) before re-opening his options. The Wisconsin native is ranked as the 76th prospect (in 2015) in ESPN’s Top 100 and received interest from Creighton, Green Bay, Marquette, UNLV, Xavier, among others.

Noskowiak has had a strong relationship with Hoiberg and the rest of the coaching staff and should fit in right away in Ames.

Monte Morris is a terrific point guard, who sees the floor exceptionally well, but he also needs a backup. This 6’2″ recruit can provide a presence behind Morris while also learning under his teachings.

According to the Ames Tribune, this is the first American High School player Fred Hoiberg and the Cyclones have brought in since 2012.
