Dorial Green-Beckham will be ‘great or a zero’ in NFL

Former Missouri Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is one of the most naturally talented players in the 2015 NFL Draft class. No one can deny his abilities on the field, but it’s the off-field issues that have some teams worried.

NFL Draft analyst Lance Zuerlein commented on Green-Beckham’s abilities in a recent post on NFL.com, saying that the former top recruit is either going to be “great” or “a zero” in the NFL.

The amount of success Green-Beckham will have all comes down to whether he is able to stay out of trouble.

“Green-Beckham has had issues with drugs in the past and was kicked out of school for a domestic violence incident. Questions of maturity are real and could torpedo his draft stock more than some think, but what should also concern teams is that the year of football he missed last season puts him behind in his education in the game at that position,” Zuerlein wrote.

“He will be great or a zero in the league in my opinion.”

Green-Beckham is undoubtedly a boom-or-bust prospect and his talent should warrant a first-round selection. However, will someone be able to overlook his troubled past and select the wide receiver in the first round?

Only time will tell.

The 2015 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 30 at Auditorium Theater in Chicago, Illinois.
