Todd Gurley is ‘right on track for full recovery’

We are just a few days away from the 2015 NFL Draft at Auditorium Theater in Chicago, Illinois and many people expect to hear the name of former Georgia Bulldogs star running back Todd Gurley to be called on Day 1.

Gurley tore his ACL midway through his junior year and the injury has some teams shying away from selecting the running back in the first-round of the draft.

However, there are others that realize Gurley could be the best running back prospect since Adrian Peterson. Were it not for the knee injury last season, Gurley would be a surefire top-ten pick — that says a lot, especially with the way running backs have fallen in recent drafts.

So, what is in store for Gurley when the draft begins on Thursday night?

As we get closer to the draft, Gurley’s stock seems to be soaring and he could still find himself selected in the first half of the round. And when teams catch wind of comments made by Dr. James Andrews about the status of Gurley’s knee, they will be more comfortable pulling the trigger.

That is what teams — and Gurley — want to hear.

Some potential suitors for Gurley are the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens. However, if some of those teams want a chance at landing the star rusher, they may need to be prepared to make a trade up.
