Bob Stoops’ Heartwarming Secret

Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops has a secret he hides from the media.

Every Thursday before home games Stoops spends time visiting sick youth at the Children’s Hospital at the OU Medical Center.

He doesn’t take any media with him, saying he wants the visits to be intimate, personal. Anyway, he’s not looking to publicize his good deeds.

The report made it’s way to the media after an Oklahoma student interviewed Stoops and one of the sick teens at the Children’s Hospital for class.

In 2000 Stoop was honored with the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award for great accomplishments on and off the field and named the Walter Camp Coach of the Year. He won Coach of the Year again in 2003.
