According to a report from ESPN.com’s Brett McMurphy, the NCAA has certified three new bowl games. As a result, the total number of FBS bowl games that will take place during the postseason is 42.
One of the new games will be The Cure Bowl at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The Cure Bowl will feature teams from the Mountain West and Conference USA.
The other two bowl games — which have yet to receive a name or an official title sponsor — will be held in Tucson, Ariz., and Austin, Texas. the unnamed bowls will pull teams from the American Athletic and Sun Belt.
The bowl in Tucson will be held at the University of Arizona’s stadium, while the Austin bowl will be held at the home of the Texas Longhorns, Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
