3-star center Kyle Alexander commits to Tennessee

Rick Barnes hasn’t been on the job very long but he has already made an impact with the Volunteers.

On Thursday, Tennessee received a commitment from 6-foot-10, 3-star center Kyle Alexander.

Alexander, who also considered Dayton, New Mexico and Missouri, is from Milton, Canada, plays AAU basketball with CIA Bounce and attends Orangeville Prep (for High School).

In addition to Alexander, Barnes has added IMG point guard Lamonte Turner and JUCO transfer Ray Kasongo (who is also from Canada, more specifically Toronto).

With Tariq Owens transferring to St. John’s and Josh Richardson graduating, the Vols’ are going to need production from all of three of these big time newcomers.
