Marshall rising sophomore quarterback Cole Garvin has announced he will leave the program to pursue other opportunities. Grant Traylor of the Herald-Dispatch reported the story.
Marshall QB Cole Garvin confirmed through text message that he is leaving @HerdFB to pursue other opportunities.

In his sole season for the Thundering Herd, Garvin did not appear in one game. This news comes on the heels of Marshall head coach Doc Holliday naming rising senior Michael Birdsong as the team’s starting quarterback for next season, so perhaps Garvin could be seeking a transfer or just wants to do something besides football for the time being. In 2014, Marshall went 13-1 (7-1 Conference USA) and defeated Northern Illinois in the Boca Raton Bowl
