Report: Everett Golson likely to Georgia or South Carolina

|

Where will former Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback Everett Golson land? According to the latest reports, Golson is likely to sign with the Georgia Bulldogs or South Carolina Gamecocks as a graduate transfer.

The news comes from 247 Sports, who spoke with sources close to the quarterback.

Golson, who is from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, reportedly wants to finish out his career close to home. Georgia and South Carolina would also allow Golson to play the final year of his collegiate career against top-tier competition in the SEC.

In South Carolina, Connor Mitch is the starting quarterback.

The Georgia Bulldogs have yet to decide between Faton Bauta and Brice Ramsey, though Ramsey appears to have the upper hand.

If Golson were to transfer to either of those programs as expected, they would instantly get an upgrade at the position from a signal-caller who has as much experience as you could ask for.
