Former LSU Tigers offensive tackle La’el Collins is the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys. Much like his journey to the NFL and draft experience, however, it wasn’t easy for Collins.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Collins’ initial contract with the Cowboys was disapproved by the league.

After reworking and resubmitting the deal, Collins is now officially a member of the Cowboys.
In order to get the league to accept his contract, Collins’ compensation was reduced by $50,000. The good news for the former LSU standout is that his contract remains fully guaranteed.
Collins is excited to get to work in Dallas and believes the team can have the best offensive line in NFL history.
If he can help contribute to a point where that becomes a reality, the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones will be very happy with their undrafted investment.
