Andre Sims Jr. to transfer from Michigan State

Michigan State Spartans wide receiver Andre Sims Jr. is set to transfer from the program, after being granted his release from his scholarship with the university.

Sims graduated with his journalism degree last week and now he’s ready to finish out his college football career at a different program. Because he is a graduate transfer, Sims will be eligible to play immediately.

“The fact Andre completed his degree in four years is a testament to his work ethic,” head coach Mark Dantonio said in a statement. “He’s a quality person, and we wish him the best of luck as he enters his final season of competition.”

During his time as a Spartan, Sims recorded 13 receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown.
