In recent weeks, the Illinois Fighting Illini football program has been under fire thanks to criticism from former players regarding head coach Tim Beckman.
While the likes of Darius Millines and Simon Cvijanovic have said that they were mistreated by Beckman, some of the current players on the roster are taking to social media to defend their coach.
The Illini players are using the hashtag “#ProudIllini” to show solidarity.
