Michigan Director of Football Opts Arrested on DUI Charges

Director of Football Operations at Michigan, Jim Minick has been arrested and charged for suspicion of DUI. Over the weekend Minick was involved in a car accident that resulted in Minick’s vehicle nose first in a ditch. After refusing a breathalyzer test, the ex marine was taken back to the police station for a blood examination.

Although the toxicology report will not be available until next week, Jim Harbaugh has already taken action suspending his long time friend indefinitely stating,“Jim makes no excuses, regrets his decision and understands the consequences of his actions.”

Unfortunately, this is not unfamiliar territory for Harbaugh as he was cited for DUI back in 2005 while coaching at the University of San Diego. No speculation has been made on Minick’s return to work, but it’s likely that Harbaugh will be able to look past this incident based on his own experience with the issue.
