Rutgers University head men’s basketball coach Eddie Jordan has graduated from the university. The Twitter page for Rutgers’ athletic department reported the story.

Jordan attended Rutgers and played on its basketball team back in the ’70s, and stirred up some controversy when he was hired as head coach once it was revealed that he had never received his degree. Sure enough, he started taking classes and completed the requirements for it, although it was a bit tough since Rutgers no longer offers his original major of Health and Physical Education. Instead, Jordan graduated with a B.S. in Labor and Employment Relations and can now focus solely on turning around the Scarlet Knights.
In two seasons in New Brunswick, Jordan is 22-43. Rutgers has not made the NCAA Tournament since 1991.
