The Miami Hurricanes’ football squad’s offseason program has wrapped up, and head coach Al Golden rewarded his players that stood out the most.
Sure, some may have been guaranteed starting jobs or assured significant playing time, but the grand prize appears to have been a pool party at Golden’s home, per a series of tweets.

It appears that the players are having plenty of fun with each other away from the field, which bodes well for Miami’s chances during the season. The team has been in something of a funk since former coach Larry Coker’s final season, back in 2006, and hasn’t even been in the national championship picture since then. Golden is only just starting to right the ship, and the future looks bright for the program simply known as “The U.”
Miami went 6-7 (3-5 ACC) last season, its fourth under Golden, and lost to South Carolina in the Independence Bowl. The team is 28-22 (16-16 ACC) in Golden’s four seasons and opens the 2015 season at Sun Life Stadium against Bethune-Cookman, on September 5.
