A 6’8″, 220 pound forward, White averaged 11.9 points and a team-best 6.6 rebounds per game for the Trojans last season. In three years with the team, he posted 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting just under 50 percent from the field. Over that stretch, Arkansas-Little Rock went 45-50 (28-30 Sun Belt) and did not make the NCAA Tournament once.
A native of Jonesboro, Georgia, White will now head home to help a Yellowjackets squad that has, well, certainly seen better days. Georgia Tech went 12-19 (3-15 ACC) last year and has not made the big dance in four seasons under head coach Brian Gregory and was last there in 2010. In terms of incoming recruits, the only really notable name is that of three-star center Sylvester Ogbonda.
Hopefully, the addition of White can help put the team back in the right direction, even if he is just on the team for a year.
