Lexi Brown Seeks Release from Maryland, Will Transfer

-

Maryland guard Lexie Brown has asked the university for her release and plans to transfer. Mike Robinson of Swish Appeal reported the story.

The daughter of former NBA guard and current Sacramento Kings assistant coach Dee Brown, Lexie Brown was a key member of this year’s Terps squad. She was second on the team in scoring with 13.2 points per game and was named Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player, All-Big Ten First Team, All-Big Ten Defensive Team and was Third Team All-American.

Thanks to her efforts, Maryland went 34-3 (18-0 Big Ten) and won a conference championship before losing to Geno Auriemma’s UConn Huskies in the Final Four.

Details are still coming in on this story, but Campus Sports will update it as more information becomes available.
