LSU receives in-state commit from three-star defensive end

The LSU Tigers have been reloading their defensive line for the 2016 season and the unit has gotten even stronger. Three-star defensive end Caleb Roddy committed to the Tigers just minutes after receiving the offer.

According to College Spun, the Tigers offered the Denham Spring, Louisiana native a scholarship on Monday and it didn’t take long for him to accept the offer. Roddy took to Twitter to express his gratitude and appreciation for being offered a scholarship to “the best school in the country.”

The Tigers’ offer was the thirty-second offer Roddy received and he committed to them over SEC rivals Arkansas and Auburn as well as national powers Oregon and Texas. LSU will be more than happy to welcome Roddy to campus next fall where he will join four-star defensive tackle Glen Logan, who committed to LSU last week.

2016 is looking to be another dominant year for the LSU defense and just another scary year for the rest of the SEC West.
