Ex-Beaver Richard Mullaney to visit Alabama on Monday

It seems as though the Alabama Crimson Tide may be courting an ex-Pac 12 wide receiver and we all know when Nick Saban wants something, he goes and gets it. It didn’t take long for reports of former Oregon State Beaver Richard Mullaney’s intentions to transfer to come out after he was granted a release from the university.

Andrew Bone of TideSports.com reported via Twitter that the graduate transfer would be visiting the campus on Monday.

This comes just two days after Oregon State announced that Mullaney would be transferring.

It was almost immediately reported that both Alabama and Nebraska were potential landing spots for the former Beaver. Due to him being a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play his final season at wherever he lands immediately.

Regardless of what school lands Mullaney, they will benefit from his arrival.

During his time at Oregon State, Mullaney caught eighty-three passes for 1,160 yards and five touchdowns. An elbow injury cost him half of the 2014 season, but prior to it he was third on the team in receptions (18) and yards (216).
