The Hawkeyes have been trying to climb their way up the Big Ten rankings for recruiting next season, and they have inched one step closer with the commitment of 3-Star ATH/RB Barrington Wade.
Wade, a 6-foot-1 back from Skokie, Illinois, is a player who the Hawkeyes have been trying to land since February.
The 211-pound back runs a 4.50-forty which lacks the appeal of some Division 1 backs, but will certainly not be enough to knock his production at the next level.
Iowa was without a doubt the best offer that Wade received in terms of prestige of schools, but is likely the best fit too. He is a strong runner that will make one move and commit to it, something that is crucial in the Iowa zone-running scheme.
