Florida State, Alabama set to open season in 2017

Over the past several decades, the Florida State Seminoles and Alabama Crimson Tide have established themselves as two of the premier college football programs in all of the land.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the two schools will kick off the 2017 season in hopes of establishing the winner as an early favorite to land in the College Football Playoff.

The two universities have a combined 18 National Championships while also producing a plethora of NFL players.  Still, the duo has only met five times over their storied histories with Alabama holding a 2-1-1 edge.  Most recently, the ‘Noles topped the Crimson Tide 21-14 in head coach Nick Saban’s fifth contest at the helm.

While the college football season is just a few months away, the off-season has continued to heat up and this most recent news is one college football analysts will drool over for years to come.  Still, both squads need to maintain their status as one of the top teams if the game is to live up to its billing.

Alabama, Florida State fans, who ya got?
