Laker’s draft pick once called Kobe Bryant a rapist

Larry Nance Jr. may now officially be a Los Angeles Laker, but he might have a long way to go before he feels truly welcome in the locker room.

Though it has now been deleted, Nance let loose a tweet over three years ago in which he refers to Kobe Bryant with the hash-tag, #rapist, a reference to Bryant’s 2003 arrest on the charges of rape.

The case was settled out of court, and the accuser later redacted her allegations.

Now it is not known if Nance truly believes Bryant to be guilty, as the dubious nature of the case’s legal proceedings has made No. 24 an easy target for such jabs, but it is no secret that Kobe is the Laker’s perennial alpha-male, and it would be curious to say the least to be a fly-on-the-wall when he and the rookie first take the court together.
