Class of 2016 four-star linebacker recruit Cameron Brown, out of the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, near Washington, DC, has narrowed his list of schools down to five. Brown announced his top five choices on his personal Twitter page.

These five are down from a list of over 20, so it’s obvious that Brown thought long and hard to narrow his choices down.
Of course, all five schools are ideal choices for someone at his position. Pitt and Notre Dame are known for having tough defenses, and an outside linebacker like the 6-foot-5, 210 pound Brown could immediately get playing time there.
The same can be said for Penn State and USC, both of whom have had fine linebackers come through their respective programs.
The one odd choice, however, is UNC. The university is still recovering from a scandal that rocked the football team back in 2010, and the program is only just starting to recover under coach Larry Fedora.
On top of that, another academic scandal is brewing that could put the future of Tar Heels athletics in doubt for the next few years.
But Brown has plenty of time to pick where he goes to school and whatever decision he makes is his own. Of course, Campus Sports will update this story as more information becomes available.
