SEC Network host predicts Alabama to lose five games

It is not every day that you hear someone to pick a Nick Saban-led team to lose a handful of games. One SEC Network host has done exactly that and he has probably just alienated himself from the entire central part of the state of Alabama.

According to College Spun, Peter Burns joined The Paul Finebaum Show to talk about the 2015 season that is rapidly approaching.

Burns laid out some predictions and his biggest one came in the form of the Alabama Crimson Tide, the same team that has won three national championships since 2009 and played in the inaugural College Football Playoff last season, to lose five games this season. He then restated himself on Twitter, as if it wasn’t already clear enough.

I think Bama goes 8-4 and loses a bowl game. HATE the way their schedule lays out for them. Auburn had same type schedule last year, lost 5.

After looking at the Tide’s 2015 schedule, it doesn’t seem too crazy that the team could lost that many games. The team plays in Arlington, Texas against Wisconsin to open the season and also have true road games against Texas A&M, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Auburn. Remember the last time they went to Auburn? Chris Davis does.

To go 8-4 out of the SEC, probably puts you in the position to go to the Outback Bowl, which would place you against one of the better teams from the Big Ten. That wouldn’t bode well for the Tide either. Seeing the team have its seven ten-win season streak broken is pretty possible in 2015. Have you seen their quarterback situation lately?
