Photo: Ohio State QBs went go-karting yesterday

Even as a three-way race for the starting quarterback’s job begins to heat up, the Ohio State Buckeyes QBs still found a way to have fun together and put the competition behind them.

As Buckeyes quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Tim Beck posted on Twitter, Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett all went go-karting yesterday.

It certainly was a roller coaster season at quarterback for the Buckeyes, as Barrett started the season under center after Miller was ruled out for the season with a shoulder injury.

After Barrett broke his ankle in November, Jones took over the rest of the way. The craziest part is that despite all this, Ohio State defeated Nick Saban-led Alabama in the College Football Playoff and then defeated Oregon in the championship game while remaining undefeated in Big Ten play under Urban Meyer.

Anyway, I digress. The fact that Miller, Barrett and Jones were able to bond together over a fun activity in the midst of competition, if you ask this writer, is a sign that Ohio State is primed for another successful season no matter who wins the job.

Ohio State opens the season on the road against Virginia Tech on September 7.
