A poll performed by San Diego’s Union-Tribune, the nerdfest that is Comic-Con has officially surpassed the Chargers as more important to San Diegoans:

Despite the NFL not currently in session, it begs to differ the image of the NFL itself, which is projected to make $12 billion this season.
Looking into the smaller details, though, and the Chargers football organization is on its last legs. Support from local residents is dwelling. Financial contributions for a new stadium remain bleek.
Proposals have been discussed in either relocating the Chargers to Los Angeles for the 2016 season or sharing a stadium with the Oakland Raiders. Unfortunately, both ideas failed to muster up any encouragement for a resurgence.
