UFC considering Aldo-McGregor at AT&T Stadium

The UFC featherweight title unification bout could be coming sooner than originally anticipated. After UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta originally stated the bout could take place on January 2, there is a new report that champion Jose Aldo and interim title holder Conor McGregor could go head-to-head on Dcecember 5 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Yahoo Sports reported the news.

The initial hope was to hold Aldo vs. McGregor in Las Vegas, but an Andrea Bocelli concert has been booked at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The Mandalay Bay Events Center was also considered an option, but it is a smaller venue and the UFC wants to ensure they can welcome as many fans as possible for a live gate. At AT&T Stadium, the possibility is there to have more than 100,000 fight fans in attendance.

With the turnout of Irish fans at recent McGregor bouts and the Brazilian crowd, there is a great chance UFC 194 will be able to set a record gate.
