Bray Wyatt defeats Roman Reigns with help of Luke Harper

Bray Wyatt defeated Roman Reigns at Battleground, but not without the help of an old friend.

After a fight that saw Wyatt mostly dominate Reigns from start to finish, though Reigns did manage to counter a lot of Wyatt’s offense at some points, Reigns was throwing a number of steel chairs into the ring as Wyatt lay stunned on the mats. It was at that point that a mysterious figure in a black hooded sweatshirt came forward and superkicked Reigns in the face.

Wyatt then took full advantage and got the woozy Reigns in the ring, hitting him with Sister Abigail and getting the pinfall victory. Shortly after, the man in the hooded sweatshirt revealed himself as former Wyatt family member and former Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper, who had been absent from television for an extended period of time.

Simply put, this feud is far from over and tonight’s match was done perfectly. Rather than have the match end in disqualification due to either the use of chairs or Reigns’ friend Dean Ambrose crashing the party, WWE actually upped Wyatt’s heel heat by having Harper come back and help him.

This could make for an epic Summerslam bout, maybe a tag team match featuring Harper and Wyatt against Ambrose and Reigns. Regardless of what happens, with Reigns thrown around like a rag doll tonight despite landing a Superman Punch and a few dropkicks, this feud has nowhere to go but up.
