A date has been set for the 2016 NFL Draft. The league announced that next year’s festivities will begin on April 28. The three-day event will then end on April 30.
This past year’s draft was held April 30 through May 2.
While we now know a date for the draft, there has yet to be any word on where it will take place. Last year, the draft was hosted in Chicago — the first time it was held away from New York City since 1964.
Along with the date of the draft, the league announced Jan. 18 is the deadline for college underclassmen to apply for draft eligibility. Players hoping to be drafted will have an opportunity to show off their skills to teams at the NFL Scouting Combine from Feb. 23-29 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Now, the only question is: who will be the first player selected?
